ALL NEW ARRIVALS await you in Catalog 65. We acquired a few scarce Ludwig Bemelmans titles: Rosebud, Marina and Noodle (written by Munro Leaf!). We were thrilled to find a few uncommon first edition picture books: Jeff Brown's Flat Stanley, Louise Fatio & Roger Duvoisin's Three Happy Lions; Hardie Gramatky's 2nd book, Hercules; Marjorie Flack illustrated Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes (in the first issue dust jacket with the incorrect title); Dahlov Ipcar's gorgeous Calico Jungle, etc... A nice group of Edward J. Detmold illustrated books made their way onto our shelves, as well as a lovely Kay Nielsen, an obscure Arthur Rackham title. As always, we tracked down some Caldecott Medal and Honor books including the ever elusive Mice Twice by Joseph Low and an inscribed copy of The Emperor and the Kite by Jane Yolen, illustrated by Ed Young. We were pleased to come across a first printing of a Newbery Medal winner we've never offered before: Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli. We hope you find something that fills a void on your shelves.
