Some of our new listings featuring: A quick trip to the Arctic Regions, ........Some Literature for the Fireside and then .........a Visit to the Tropics.
Catalog 61 delights with its selection of beautiful and obscure children's and illustrated books. We are pleased to offer a rare piracy of Beatrix Potter's first book, A Happy Pair, it is an advertising vehicle for Fischer's Mustard. If fanciful verse is your thing, The Ballad of the Be-Ba-Boes by D K Stevens will not disappoint; the artwork is jolly fun, too. We are gushing over the Gustaf Tenggren illustrated DIckey Byrd, an early and uncommon work of his. Edmund Dulac has always been one of our favorite illustrators, so we are thrilled to have two jacketed titles, Love of the Foolish Angel and The Green Lacquer Pavilion, plus "the lavender" edition of My Days with the Fairies. Other highlights include a beautifully printed German alphabet Book Tierbilder ABC mit Reimen; Rudolf Mates illustrated The Magic Flutes; Children's Corner in the original dust jacket, illustrated by H. Willebeek Le Mair; and Child's Book of Myths in dust jacket, illustrated by Margaret Evans Price. As always we also offer a diverse selection of picture books and children's literature including Caldecott Award and Honor, and Newbery Award and Honor books. We hope you enjoy our latest catalog!
